Hi, first thing: I'm from Germany, so I'll just say sorry for my (maybe) bad englisch. second thing: I've got an iriver U10... it's supporting Flashlite 1.1 Games... and I want to make a very easy version of the Tyrian game... 5 or 6 Levels of the first episode... Everything should have graphics as easy as possible, but it should look like the orginall... That's hard to make, but I'm trying it. I've just added a picture how it could look like if it's finish: I hope you like the first pictures... I'm thanksful for every attitude. And I need some pictures... because I can't make screenshots of the game, my computer only gives me some letters if I do that . Everyone, who can give me some screenshots with textures, enemys and so on... a big thanks! If the game is finished, I'll tell you and you can try it out... but that'll maybe take some time... thinking of 3 months . More Infos on the project and the U10 you can find at www.gadgetkorea.com at this thread: www.gadgetkorea.com/index.php?topic=1048.0For question, suggestions and help I'm always glad

The easiest way to get lossless screenshots is this: 1) download DosBox from dosbox.sourceforge.net2) open dosbox.conf and change scaler to "scaler=none" 3) run Tyrian in DosBox and press the print screen key when the stuff you want is on the screen. 4) open Paint and paste the capture from the clipboard DosBox has a screenshot utility built in but it makes lossy PNGs which is completely insane. If you want background tiles use this program www.accuvibes.com/szevvy/wombat_tyrian.zipBut not all the tiles in each files will fit in the program window and it doesn't appear to have a scroll function I can figure out.

Hey Mindless I ran 'tyrship.exe TYRIAN.SHP 350426' but the images it generated are just outlines - transparent areas are kind of grey but everything else is black. What am I doing wrong? Also can you convert stuff back to .shp files? No offense to Cayenne Mandua but it'd be cool to improve some of the graphics in Episode 5.

Hey Mindless I ran 'tyrship.exe TYRIAN.SHP 350426' but the images it generated are just outlines - transparent areas are kind of grey but everything else is black. What am I doing wrong? What version of tyrian are you running it on. I didn't test it on non-2k, so there might be a different offset... /me checks Yup. Try 313595. Also can you convert stuff back to .shp files? No offense to Cayenne Mandua but it'd be cool to improve some of the graphics in Episode 5. Not yet, but if it's in high demand, I can work on it.

So, now it's possible for me to make the levels as near as possible to the orginall.
One question: I want to make some levels of the first episode (and maybe from the second) because I like these two most. In the end, I want to have 5 or 6 levels. Which levels should that be?
I was thinking about Tyrian, Bubbles, Asteroid, Minemaze, Savara and Deliani... what would you prefer?
And one more thing: Because Flashlite is very limited, I'll make the game that way, that you only can shot at the boss... Otherwise the game would be to big (because in Flashlite you must draw EVERY possibility and that would take many space)...

Crap! If you've downloaded tyrship, download it again. There's some color loss in the previous versions -- the bitmaps produced are "good enough", but not for me. I've re-uploaded the images in correct color.
I'm also now working on a bmp to shp converter, which lead me to find this problem.

Thanks! But I have to wait for 2 days... I'm now using a 56K Modem (that's slooow)... but in 2 days, I can use my DSL again. Thanks for your work!
EDIT: The first menu is allready made... my "colleaugue" (lol, sounds like we are a big company ;D ) is programming it now... Maybe you can soon see the first menu...

So, I'm working on it... it's not easy, because in flashlite, you have to draw EVERY possibility... The first level Tyrian should have about 30 seconds... I've allready 3... and 45 pictures... I hope, the first level is ready in the end of august...
