I guess it's copyright reasons, so no one rips them off and custmizes them or something...

Oh, lol, I didn't turn my head sideways But really, is all that watermarking needed? Maybe a subtle part in the corner, but a floodmark is unacceptable! Do you catch my drift?

While I agree his watermark is overkill, it's not quite that bad, since his is translucent and only covers about 1/4 of the image.

Yes guys, I know those watermakes don't look really nice - but we need them, we post those pics at many different boards - and now the problem: The game is for a MP3-Player, and for this one there are 2 big boards... I like the first one more then the second one, and andy likes the second one more than the first one. And both are in war, so we decided to make all those pics very save, so noone of them can steal them.

Then why not make a small logo in the bottom right?

Easy: Because then you can allready steal graphics, you can ignore the logo and redraw the pics without problems... but don't worry... I hope soon we will release the game, and then, when it's ready, there won't be any watermarks.

Good news: We know quiet a lot of time passed, and we are slower then we hoped in making Tyrian, but for christmas we managed to finish a demoversion of our game - check it out and please tell us what you think about it Check it out: www.megaupload.com/?d=I5GHWKM9And remember, you must have a flashplayer to play it

Huh?! Macromedia Flash Player is free to download. It's the creator that costs severe cash (Flash 8 pro is 500$+!!).

Feedback:
So far so good. You got a lot farther along than the other people. Which just talk about it but don't do anything.
1. Grammar. Needs some fixing in some places, like the instructions and "Careful- asteroids hurt much." You know Humba Wumba from Banjo-Tooie? That is what it reminded me of. 2. Tile based- It feels choppy when ships move (especially mine) left->right. It should be smoother moving. 3. The weapons seem like you took them right off the block of graphics from Tyrian, some things need editting for outside use. Like the zica laser and super cannon. 4. Collision detecting is HORRIBLE! I will lose like 3 shields from a ship that just seemed to smash into me, even though I shot him. 5. My weapons all feel too weak. My super cannon doesn't feel so super.
Again, great work for the amount of load you put upon yourself.

Thanks for your feedback. Our biggest problem is: How can we make it working without lagging on a MP3-Player? We want a perfect graphic but also it should work without lagging on the U10. To your points: 1: Yeah we know it's not perfect - Andy is from Belorussia and I'm from Germany - we are still looking for some who can correct what we wrote 2: Yes we allready thought about let them move smoothie but we didn't do it (we forgot it ). 3: Hmm how do you think of this? I mean what is "editting for outside use" for you? 4: Yes I also noticed but I'm not sure if andy can fix this - it's because of the limited possibilities of Flashlite 1.1. 5. How can we improve this? Would it be better if some would fly faster and some would fly slower? Thanks again for your feedback

2. gotta happen, that is the reason the collision is bad 3. It looks like they were coppied directly from the sprite table. The sprite table leaves holes in them. 4. Smoother moving will fix that. 5. If weapons had sound effects and damage sounds, that would make them feel stronger (subliminal things are strange). Resolution should be a bit bigger too. There isn't much space on the screen. new points: It seems the energy isn't used at all in this demo. I'm sure it is a WIP. Also, I feel I am driving in a tin can. My coca cola has a stronger outer covering than these ships. the shields last ...well, they don't really. Glitch: I find that if you blow up the boss, but his shot kills you after he dies, you will be sent back before the level, BUT, you will retain all the coins you earned from the mission. Uh oh.

I also noticed. But it only happens in the second level, not in the first. But this shouldn't be too hard to be fixed.
Now about the sounds: I downloaded the sounds and I have them on the computer. The problem is, if we use the sounds in the game, it lags on U10. In the menu where we use songs it doesn't matter because nothing really moves. But if you use only the small sounds of the weapons while flying, it starts lagging... I might andy if he got an idea if there is any chance to fix this but I don't think it will work.
To the weapons: Yes I copied them directly from the sprite table... why not - we wanted it as near at the orginal as possible and that was the easiest way I thaught - is there another way? I also noticed some small black holes on some of the ships... doesn't matter on U10 but on Computer.
To the shields: Hmm they are maybe really not strong enough - but otherwise it would be boring, it would be too easy. And you can also buy shields did you notice? If you press + on U10 (or picture up at ordinarry tastature) you are asked in the shop if you want to buy one shield for 1000 credits.
Oh by the way: In Tyrian they pay with credits, don't they? I wasn't sure about it but I thaught so.
Thanks again @ bb1 and also thanks to Gamera

The game added pieces to the weapons in game, the game fills in the gaps. The flashlight game doesn't.
Why code it in flashlight? It is so outdated and old. Should try a newer engine...
