I think my Tyrian keeps trying to find a joystick for me to control or something because when I play the game my ship just goes all the way over to the right and when I look at guns it forces them to upgrade, which is the button that moves to the right. Is there anyway to stop this?

If you have a joystick plugged in, pull it out when you play Tyrian. I had to do this as mine goes crazy uncallibrated (logitech attack 3 do not buy)
Either that or you have an input calibrated AS a joystick.

I don't have a joystick at all so I don't know what it could be. I use to have something that would emulate my mouse as a joystick so I could play X-Wing but I uninstalled that.

Make sure Windows doesn't thinks any joysticks are installed, look in the control panel to be sure.

Host has been up again for a while, just in case anyone didn't notice.

Updated to r736: - 2X scaler ported from classic - Changing fullscreen no longer requires a restart - Can now lock/unlock mouse by pressing Ctrl-F10. This essentially makes the debug version useless to almost everyone - Fixed bug where player 2 couldn't do twiddles r736 Releaser736 Debug

It's been a month since the last build, what's up?

Right now I'm coding some stuff in enhanced which breaks some input stuff (the last revisions are somewhat inconvenient to use) so I'm waiting until I finish that to make a new build.

I am getting an error message saying that tyrian is incorrectly configured every time I try to run it. I have the SDL and MSVC libraries in the tyrian folder and the /data folder filled with the tyrian data files. Is there some sort of configuration file that I am missing?

One specific set of builds had that bug, so try redownloading. I'm not sure if debug builds work if you don't have MSVC installed, so avoid them. Also, what's your OS?

I am running WinXP SP2. The build that I downloaded was r736 Release. I will try another build and see if that works better.
I tested Release build r719 and that did not work either. The same error was reported.

Updated to r812: - Configuration is now saved to disk - Moved all command line parameters to CVars - Some other stuff related to that Be sure to read the readme before asking any questions. If you're upgrading from a previous version, clean up your "autorun" folder. r812 Releaser812 Debug
