Why, thank you! There, I had a question for you. When the C port is done, will you code a little something in SDL allowing us to play fullscreen? Cause 320x240 is nice, but ya know... Congratulations on the work so far. DosBox is great, but that native port is like 10000 times faster. Can't wait for it to be fully playable. I hope someone ports OpenTyrian to GP2X when it's finished ---> that would be the ULTIMATE SHMUP GAME on a console EVER. Also, I can see that destruct.c is going well... hehehe l8rs

Yes, we'll have fullscreen capability in the future. Scalers (like a 2x scaler or something like HQ2x) are not so certain for the classic port, since the code is so weird it's hard to implement without bugs.
We plan to make the code as portable as possible, and if SDL runs on the GP2X it can surely be ported. There may be problems with the screen size though. (It's kind of very hardcoded). It should be much easier on the enhanced port.

We will for the enhanced port. I don't think we will for the classic one tho. The Tyrian source came with editors but they're so weird I have no idea how to use them. =]

I'm not disappeared, just really busy for the next little while. But you should ask MXD anyways, not me. BTW, speaking of console versions, there is an SDL port for the Dreamcast. Haha.
