Really big? Hm... I'll remix the entire Tyrian soundtrack and sell it free.

Hola, Danc here. Love the new forum and am happy to see folks still interested in Tyrian. I just wanted to thank whoever ripped the graphics from the source code and posted them as PNGs. Somewhere in the mess of moving multiple times in the past decade, I managed to lose the original files. There are some transparency errors here and there and a few unpleasant hack jobs made it in, but I am delighted to have copies again. I drew up the original graphics in about 4 months as my first real summer job. A friend of mine had sent around some of my artwork (without my knowledge, I might add) and I ended up getting a random email from Alex asking me if I wanted to make some graphics. It was either that or another summer stocking beer in the 7-11 cooler. 19 and making games. Heck yes. I had recently splurged on an Amiga 1200 and it managed to pay for itself that very summer. Alex sent me a short list of list of levels and said "Draw us some graphics." So I did. I turned up the raido and crunched away from 11am when I woke up to 11pm when David Letterman came on. There is some wierd stuff in there as a result, but no one ever complained. They just said "Make some more!" Appreciate all the fond memories this site brought back. And to think, all those hours of effort fit easily into a little more than a meg of pngs. take care Danc. www.lostgarden.com

I love it when someone so official visits something so menial... It is like God descending on McDonald's to tell them what a great job they are doing

Hello to the Tyrian's Fan Community ! Even over the years Tyrian is still one of my favorite game (I keep an old P150 to play), one of the many reasons is because Alexander Brandon's soundtracks is a masterpiece of work. So there will be an OpenTyrian ? I definitely keep an eye on this forum

Hello everyone, The name's Omega Boost, but some call me Toki. I've been faithful to Tyrian since my Windows 95 ACER computer had it as a Shareware game! I didn't get a chance to play the complete game until about 2 years ago. Either way, I've been still enjoying the game very much so. So much infact that I've done up custom ships for Tyrian2k, which I plan on donating to the website. As more about me, I'm a big Gradius fan and I love to crossover anything with Gradius when I get the chance. Such as Tyrian! Either way though, I think I'll enjoy it here.
