Has anyone had any luck getting any version on Tyrian to somehow run on Mac OS X?

Ok, so I just ended up taking all the files off the CD and putting them on my harddrive, and then mounting that folder into DOSBox.
Three questions:
Is there anyway to get DOSBox to remember which folder to mount, or will I have to do that manually everytime?
Is there anyway to simulate the soundcards? The music in Tyrian is one of the best parts of the game, and that FM sound is killing me.
Game seems to run really slow. Sometimes worse than others. All other programs are shut down. Any ideas?

1. Always manual. 2. Simulate soundcards? I dunno about going through all the trouble, but you can just get the mods in LDS format, and the WinAmp extension to play them. 3. Try adjusting your CPU cycles; low cycles is slow, but cycles that are higher than what your system can take is a bad thing. Try to find the perfect cycle. Then, go in game and turn graphic setting to 'Low.'

Actually, you can add the mount line to dosbox.conf on the Autoexec section. And yeah, DOSBox is quite hungry, 0.70 is about 100% faster tho.
