This is a screenshot from Leon's site: This is a screen I captured from the GBA ROM downloaded from Leon's site: You can see the image quality crappier on the actual ROM. Where to get the one with the higher quality?

Roms are the same, likely it's the setup you should change in your GBA emulator.

But, I don't know how to manage it on VisualBoyAdvance.
I'm puzzled.

Sorry, I don't know all of them. However, here is the VisualBoyAdvance Collector's Edition www.zophar.net/Files/VisualBoyAdvanceCE10.zipOnly RascalBoyAdvance is tested to be worked with the best quality graphics, but it doesn't support any cheats, so I cannot change the start money, of course. These emulators has the same problems: BatGBA, No$GBA, BoycottAdvance. (Latest Versions)

I can't remember which emulator I used, but I tried a few and fiddled with the graphics settings to get the best resolution for screenshots. It started dropping quite a few frames. I think it was the emu with a logo of a blue or purple GBA.

Ah, the story behind that is that the game certainly wasn't finished and I was still learning the GBA platform. (Having to hack it as we couldn't get a proper devkit.) Nowadays I would say it was due to accidentally writing 8-bit values to the 16-bit video memory, if it's the same as the DS. Likely there are some emulators that do not properly emulate the 16-bit addressible region 'failure'.

actually, it is something in the rom. some hex value takes over the graphics resolution
