Tyrian discord?

Hey peeps,
Ive been interested in Tyrian for a while since i first played it on a homebrewed wii
Ive done a bunch of searching for more info on this game and i find it all so cool and interesting. This forum seems to be the most active place ive found

Do we have a discord, or would people be interested in joining one? Im able to set one up and manage it if we are keen
Either way, i enjoy reading all the threads and stuff people are working on here.

I assume not since this is indeed the most "active" Tyrian fan community (unless the IRC channel still exists? I've never gone on it). Would be cool to have a space for casual hangout, to talk about Tyrian and other shmups, share fan works, etc. Every few months or so someone uploads a new video or OST remix to YouTube, so the game is definitely still on some people's minds as niche as it may be.

Unrelated, but I've thought some effort should also go into compiling/archiving old community resources; off the top of my head I can think of

• this forum,
• Camanis dot net and especially the fan OST remixes hosted there,
• the former largest fansite (Wayback Machine),
• Jason's Tyrian Repository (Wayback Machine)

I think a simple Github Pages site would be more future-proof than keeping all these things disgregate. Might look into it since I'm on break until March.

Not a Tyrian themed Discord, but I run a shmup podcast (linked in my signature), and we're covering Tyrian shortly. We'll be playing through it during April and then podcasting about it in May. If anyone is interested, check the link in my signature to join up.
