I'm back, after a looooong time...
I'm a bit used to my classes now (in my sophomore year, hoorah), and I'm resuming development on many of the games/projects I had underway.
I never forgot about Tyrian, though.
Thus, I had a breakthrough with legacy support - me and my friend Jace got together and created emulated Gravis Ultrasound soundfonts. I did all the composing, and I'm starting back up my Tyrian - Rebirth project.
You can find it at www.visualsoftworks.com/tyrian_rebirth.htm.
Do enjoy.
I'll update this post as I go.

Anyone have that shop screenshot? It would really, really help me out, since I can't take SC's of the original because DOSBox is mucked up on my machine.
I need a purchase screen (after selecting a category; not all of these needed), and a main shop screen. Also, the deployment screen would be a valuable addon.
Doing so will score yourself in the entry of Contributions in the credits section.

- I finished the basic scrolling/fighting engine, which I dub TE-01 (Tyrian base Engine write 01). It's got a futuristic interface with animated panels and some shiny energy bars, but it's not much right now in terms of those actually working; point is, the basic engine works.
- Video of Build 1 done; check it out on the official site. Sorry again about the low sound quality.
- I got the condition checks working also (determining equipped weapons).
