Weapon Modding

I wondered if anyone had cracked the weapon modding so you could do things like add extra shots to the mega pulse for example or change the directions of the shots.

I know about tyrhack but it would be nice to be able to mod the weapons themselves.

It's been done -- see "Tyrian 1.1 Gift Edition" here. I don't think there are any tools to facilitate it though.
