I have an old gateway solo 2300 running DOS 6.22. I've got Tyrian 2000 in it's own directory on the root of the C: drive. The game plays just fine until I get to episode 3 level 2 (Ixmucane). When I try to play the level, it exits Tyrian and gives me the error message:
WARNING: Unable to find Tyrian data files.
Stopped on file NEWSH#.SHP.
Please reinstall the files or place the CD-Rom in your drive

Cannot load COMMAND, system halted
I've downloaded several copies of Tyrian 2000 from different sites thinking there might be a glitchy one out there, but I get the same problem with all of them. Strangely enough, I get the same error if I type "destruct" at the title to try and play the little mini game.
I tried it in DOSbox, and it worked fine...
If anyone could help me out here, that'd be great.

EDIT: SOLVED! I went through the directory and discovered that my CD burning software replaced any special symbols in the file names to "_" thus causing the error. I renamed the erroneous files, and now it works fine.
