Only with apple is this possible. Only with apple does "open source" not equate to "You can download, compile, and use the sofware as intended" because apple essentially makes you buy the compiler if you try that route.
Now I have no problem helping the guys who developed this pay for their developer's license, once they fix up the interface a bit. But there's some serious clashing with the iphone development paradigm and what "opensource" traditionally means.
...Maybe when I'm finished with the class I'm taking this semester and have a bit of time I'll be able to give a shot at a port to android.
