Hi guys, Don't want to step on the toes of anyone else making a tyrian game, but i thought as you all seem to love tyrian like me, i'd try and gauge your opinion on my latest prototype. Its a tyrian inspired game, i've doubled the screen res to 640x480 60fps to give more space for 4 players coop, and allows for increased graphics later. The levels are all external XML so can be manually edited or done with a level editor. Anyway, let me know what you think about some of the changes before i lock down the engine. I've got a way to go, mainly content, graphics and level design, but i think the base engines pretty much there. www.tyriash.com/LatestVersion/Tyriash.html

small bug: when you hit an enemy, your ship should be pushed in the direction the enemy was moving I don't have a Wii, but for those who do, this could be awesome.

Cheers for trying it guys, i'l add the ship2ship collision movement to the bug list.
As for the wiimote controls, i'm planning to enable it within the next week once the local multiplayer code is in, i'l make a video of how to connect up.
The best control scheme so far seems to be holding it on its side like an old nintendo controller, or using the nunchuck. Of course i'll enable to ability to use the infra red, but it just knackers your arm out after a while.

Lil question: How are you going to integrate a Wiimote in a Flash game?

The top guys over at www.wiiflash.org/ made an api and server app to intergrate the two. So all it needs is for the user to run a small server app and with a bit of as3 code i can recieve in the wii mote commands. Can even make it rumble as well.
