I've been trying to perform a PCX grab in ShipEdit, but it only seems successful up to the point where you pick an image. After that, it only gives me the editing screen to grab from (the editing screen as in the place where you press E to pick a PCX file). The PCX pictures never show--with one exception. The exception is a detailed picture of a ship in my Tyrian2000 folder--TSHP2.PCX...though the picture is terribly messed-up (color-wise--it all looks...scrambled, but you can just barely see the image) when viewed through ShipEdit. Maybe the picture was too detailed, or something. Still, it's the only image that ShipEdit will display. Pasting my desired image onto it will result in the image being warped, as well. Any ideas?

If Tyrian is 256 colors which I do expect it to be, interperiting detailed shading and the like becomes nearly impossible.

So I'd imagine.
Still, I got around the problem. There's a .pcx file called SHIPEDIT in the Tyrian2000 folder--Tyrian viewed it just fine, so I decided to paste my ships into that.
It worked. X3

Yeah, you need to save your PCXs as 8-bit color files, else it won't work, and even then you must use Tyrian's color palette.
