Hi, I wondered if anyone managed to get far in the SUPER Tyrian mode.
A few minutes ago, I finally suceeded to complete the first level, but Asteroid seems unforgiving.
So, what is your record?

I think I got to asteroid, but I didn't try very very hard. I assume you know the twiddles?

I already learned some by searching on the internet, but I discover most of them while playing. It must be absolutely impossible to survive without them, thanks to the horribly weak atomic railgun.
I'm actually stuck in Asteroid. The first Turrets mini-boss is almost impossible! If only the repulsor could work on the red bullets...

It DOES work, but they're flying at 100000000000km/h so it's not like it makes any difference what your wimpy repulsor does.

No, I mean in the game code. One would think, at that speed, the missles would warp into your ship and send you to Gyges in level 1.

Wait, the repulsor actually has an effect on these bullets? It's in the code?
I think that the only way to get through this part is to ram into the turrets with the invincibility AND the protron field activated, if it's possible. I guess that some atom bombs would help too, but it's hard to do all these special move in less than 2 seconds.
If at least two turrets are destroyed, it gets almost easy.
And I guess you get absolutely no reward for completing super tyrian?

Repulsors repel all bullets in the game afaik. (Except on the bullets that are actually enemies, the ones you can destroy by shooting at them. (Or that block your shots.))
It just doesn't works in Super Tyrian cause the bullets go faster there, so you can't repulse enough to make a difference.
