Since I can't seem to get any help with my compile errors or find a binary that lets me get past the Lava level boss bug, I'm trying to hex edit the save game to get me to the next level. Anybody else found it yet? I sure if I'm persistent I'll find it. I found the values for the Weapon levels.

you could just use the skip level cheat on that level to avoid the crash

If anybody curious this is what my Hex tweaking yielded:
A = 0C Left Side Kick On C = 0C Right Side Kick On
E = Side Kick Type 22 = Left Side Kick Label 25 = Right Side Kick Label
5C = Front Power Level 5D = Rear Power Level
2E = Shield and Generator
32 = Ship Type
34-36 = Money
Level is somehow encoded 5E to the end, though I haven't been able to crack it yet.

Isn't the whole savefile encrypted? IIRC it was. So unless you're using enhanced hex-editing won't work.

Im pretty sure it is, you'll need some hefty tools to edit it.
(PS. Are you sure 36 is money? I didnt even realize)
