Hi there. I succesfully compiled opentyrian on a Sharp Zaurus. It works very well. Almost perfect actually. The only problem is the sound. Zaurus has a Xscale pxa270 cpu that goes up to 624mhz. The game itself work pretty much fullspeed (great work you guys!) but the sound stutters all the time. So my question is, can I do something about it? It seems that i can't just turn off sound ingame, i can only make it really quiet but i can't turn it off alltogether. So, is there any way of turning the sound off ?

But you shouldn't really be having problems. OpenTyrian runs acceptably on a GP2X, which has a slower CPU AFAIK. Are you compiling with optimizations?

my CFLAGS were "-O3 -mcpu=iwmmxt -mtune=iwmmxt". and my sdl library uses the on cpu sram memory which should speed things up. GP2X has two cpu's, maybe that's why it performs better than a Zaurus. is there anything else i can do? tyrian has great music and it would be a shame if i had to turn off sound.

The second CPU isn't used if you don't code for it (AFAIK), which we didn't. You will probably have better luck with -O2 (reduceds code size, which is good for the cache).
Or maybe it isn't a speed problem. try lowering the detail level and see if you still get suttering.
