none of the developers really care about SHIPEDIT, do you?
(keep in mind that if we don't port shipedit, we probably won't include the ability to load the custom ships it creates)

How hard is shipedit to port anyway? (I can't say I ever took a look at that part of the source.) But in any case, I don't think it's worth it.

It probably shouldn't be too high on the priority list, but I say go for it!

It probably shouldn't be too high on the priority list, but I say go for it! I'm with this guy. It IS part of the original code, after all, though obviously getting an accurate and stable version of Tyrian is much more important.

Shipedit is quite useless on handhelds consoles, like the GP2x, the PSP and the Gizmondo. It can be run from the original exe under Windows. It can be run easily from the original exe under Linux (and, probably, under Mac OS X too) using dosbox. So, I don't think it's worth it.

A: DOSBox runs like shit on PPC Macs B: So what if I can run shipedit from the original exe? as MindlessXD said, OpenTyrian will not be able to load the ships if shipedit itself isn't implemented. Also I vote yes, but keep it very low on the priority list.
