Runs almost fullspeed at 200 MHz if you're up for a challenge, picodrive has its adlib emu on the second processor, OpenTyrian could probably also do this. I've looked into running code on that processor and its not exactly fun, but I'd guess you could get it to run full-speed at 200 MHz. Edit: btw, you *shouldn't* still need to delete the config at start-up every time

Edit: btw, you *shouldn't* still need to delete the config at start-up every time Ok, I'll remove that soon from the opentyrian2x.gpe script (guess you've had a look at it ) Before I start playing with the second processor, I'd rather begin to adapt the MAMEGP2x's scaler. Then, the joystick management still needs to be refined ;D But, in the future, it could worth it to try some more optimizations !!

Thanks to Slaanesh, OpenTyrian2x has been greatly improved ! - increased game speed again - fullscreen mode available (selectable from main menu) - in-game menu with the SELECT button - pause with the START button - christmas mode available - GP2x icons for normal and xmas mode Released on the GP2x File Archive

Guess we'll come back to the OpenTyrian team soon, to merge all GP2x-specific updates into the SVN repository

- fullscreen mode available (selectable from main menu) awesome! the scaler seems to be losing some pixels though, and it seems to be shifting everything 1 pixel to the right... check the background in the opentyrian menu to see what I mean also, the OpenTyrian credits don't need to be scaled (I dunno if you can turn that off easily for one portion of code) ... and I see that you didn't think it had enough ale

Great!!! It´s almost perfect! It is so good that with the default options it runs too fast! XD I think that setting quality Normal and Speed Slow, it runs OK. Or quality Pentium and speed Normal is also fine. The cpu_speed.gpe is no longer needed? I´m not sure if it is a bug, but when going to the in-game menu or exiting the game from that menu, a sound plays, like a shot sound, and I think the original game didn't do that, but it´s so silly that it doesn´t matter at all. I love you guys ;D

The cpu_speed.gpe is no longer needed? Slaanesh's release assumes that you use GMenu2x. So no, if you do use GMenu2x with ramtweaks there is no need of cpu_speed anymore. Great!!! It´s almost perfect! It is so good that with the default options it runs too fast! XD I think that setting quality Normal and Speed Slow, it runs OK. Or quality Pentium and speed Normal is also fine. Yep! he did an awesome job, and he did it quickly! All that for you ;D

Well, I don´t use GMenu2X and it don´t need more speed than this All that I said before was only trying Arcade mode. After that I played the Full Game mode, and the default options with Normal quality and Normal speed are all right. Another bug I have noticed is that when you configure the FX sound to the minimum, when starting a level it sounds loudly, and after playing a minute or two it switches to the minimum.

Well, as the last update to openTyrian for GP2X hasn't been posted here, I will put it so it's easier to find openTyrian 0.3

Tyrian for GP2X!!! Wow! It has been the greatest news for this handheld for a long time A man on the gp32spain forum said that the game runs at a normal speed when using gmenu2x activating ram Tweaks and raising the clock to 240 Mhz. If I could help in any way to the project it would be great. I know a little of C programming What does in-game fps display show for fps? (i don't trust it, but it's possibly informative to compare). getting between 4 and 12 reported fps on 400mhz omap 2420

integrating other platforms into SVN is on my todo list, probably right after getting networking implemented... so it may be a while, but yeah, it'll get there

The GP2X thread is a bit dead Are there any news about integrating the GP2X specific sources into the SVN? I'd like to see all the great updates you have done by now on my GP
