My personal Choice:
Ship: Prototype Stalker-C, Nort Ship Z or The Stalker 21.126.
Front Weapon: Laser
Rear Weapon: Guided Microbombs
Shield: MicroCorp HXS Class C
Engine/Generator: Gravitron Pulse Wave
Left Sidekick: Plasma Storm/Zica SuperCharger/Protron Cannon Tangerine
Right Sidekick: Plasma Storm/BattleShip Class FireBomb
Special: Repulsor/Astral Zone/SDF Main Gun

To each their own. I stick with Gencores until I can get the Stalker-C. I won't fly a ship without a repair system. |

I always buy ships with better armour if they are available. And with the right weapons, I don't have to worry about losing armour since I've had a lot of levels in which I never lost armour.

I think these best combo topics are old and beaten. Pretty much after episode 3, your ship is indestructable..

The thing is, with an armor repair system, you can regenerate your armor to a level above the ship's stock value, all the way up to maximum. The only benefit to ships with a higher armor value is that you don't have to build up at the start.

I'm always using the Gencore II... it hasn't got the armor like the Stalker but looks much better...

I managed to succeed in releasing the 7-way Post it Blast from both the Stalker-C and the Nort Ship on occasion.
