I have created a Tyrian ringtone set based on the MP3's on the web I've found, as well as a couple I made myself by extracting data from the .LDS files, & the sound effects collection I've seen posted elsewhere. Included is a .PNG image made up of Tyrian 2000 box art that I pulled from Moby Games. The graphic is 162X220, which is the size for my Motorola V710 (or an E815), but I'm sure it can be stretched or shrunk accordingly. Also, the ringers are in .MP3 format, saved at 44Khz, 48kbps Mono to keep sound quality high but filesize low. The .ZIP archive is 1.25MB in size.
The music/sounds I used in this collection are as follows:
Asteroid 1 Asteroid 2 Buy/Sell Music End of Level music Gyges, Will You Please Help Me Tyrian, The Level Return to me, Savarah Torm, The Gathering "Data Acquired" voice sound effect "Powerup" sound effect "Warning" sound effect looped 8 times
I'd like to post it somewhere but I don't have a place. Also, seeing as how this is the place for all things Tyrian, I figured someone would want to post it & potentially offer space. ;D

Make some for Nokia composer... Serious, I would like to listen to my cellphone playing something Tyrian-related.

Sorry, I know precious little about Nokia phones. The dominant carrier in Nebraska is Alltel, & that's who I got my phone through (since the hospital I work for uses them). At any rate, if I knew what format your phone excepted, I might be able to work something up, but I'd have to know that 1st!

Ha, the "Warning" sound effect would sure be good at getting your attention, but after getting a few calls I would probably feel like throwing the thing against the wall. Either that or I'd insticntively start looking around for an armor ship to shut the thing up. ;D

I have all the MIDIs on my phone and use them as ringtones. These are the borgmidi ones, but converted. You see, those are not standard MIDIs, they are RIFF MIDIs, and at least Siemens phones can't read them. But I found a tool online and converted them to standard MIDIs, so now I have Deli Shop Quartet as my main ringtone I've also made a background for my phone based on the Tyrian menu screen: Feel free to use it!

sgomes - I love that background - I might have to add that as another background to use - it's great!
Yeah, I have the "Data Acquired" as the alert for text messages - I figured it was appropriate! The warning I just used for Alarms, so if I have my phone set to remind me to do something, it's obvious that it's my phone going off. I have the Game Over tune set as my voicemail notification. My main ringtone is the Tyrian level theme, & when my employer calls it's Asteroid 1. Other than that, I have various other level music used for different categories of people in my address book.
If anyone else has phones that will do polyphonics but not .MP3 ringers, I'd be happy to chop some up based on the Tyrian MIDIs I have & make a set...

BTW, where can I find the XM version of Sarah's Song? After a bit of searching, I found the latest address for Parn's site: parn.pro.br/musicstation/ His XM renditions of Tyrian, the Level and Sarah's Song can both be found there.
