I was curious, is there a particular way for Dosbox to emulate the Soundblaster 16 setting on a labtop? I'm running Tyrian on my Dell Inspiron and so far I've had no luck getting the sound to work through this setting. I just keep getting the error message, "Error 224: AWE Not Found." Help would be appreciated, as I love the music to this game.

MIDI333. You can't emulate the AWE section.

robotboy: Set the sound effects to Soundblaster and the music to FM Synth.

Midi 330hz has to be my choice. I guess it varies by peoples' taste.

Hmm. Upon further inspection of the sound setup I found the SB 16 setting under "FM Sound." Thanks yuriks for the help. Now I'm off to look for the music in MP3 format, since I'm too lazy to get a program to play it in LDS format. Oh, and this is pretty neat I guess. It's a piano rendition for "Composition in Q." www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00972/

IIRC The music was composed for Adlib so FM sound is the way to go.

It is too gritty to my ears. I prefer the smoother, sweeter melody of SBwavefont
