Hey wonderful people! I've been doing some searching, and I know that you can't just--pull level tiles from Tyrian like you can a hexmap, at least I don't think so. But what is the best way to get them, then? I'd like to extract them for some of my own projects I'm working on, and I want to use them as a spinoff/baseline, if possible...thanks in advance!

My technique was to add code in JE_loadMap (tyrian2.c) to export tiles in BMP format as they were loaded for the level. You'll be looking at the code just under the comment /* Read Shapes.DAT */
