There is also lots and lots of procedural generation involved, so stay tuned folks - i am just getting started with this (project updates will be posted onto my channel as well as onto my site picturesque-games.tk/ )
Interesting, looks good for a prototype as I mentioned in my comment there. I like the Starfox/Tyrian crossover, in gameplay terms: a "from behind" perspective can make the game far more immersive and exciting. You could alternate between this and the classic top-down view, which permits a wider perspective and might be better for some sections on levels (i.e. top-down to dodge enemies at high-speed, from behind for a tunnel section, or for boss battles or just typical enemy engaging).
