Your antifanboyism is an insult to intelligent life. Tyrian doesn't seem to like using the AUTO setting

Why would that change anything?

Why can't I make it run smoothly? I have two PCs at home, one is a Pentium 233mhz with Win98 and the other is a Pentium III 801mhz with Win2K. Tyrian 2000 runs perfectly on the Win98 PC without dosbox, but when it comes to the Pentium III with dosbox, it becomes slower than CounterStrike in the pentium233 pc (LITERALLY). How can I solve this?
My PC specs: -Pentium 3 801mhz -256 ram -10gb HD -Windows 2000 Professional -DosBox 0.7 -Intel 82810 Graphics Controller (on-board, 64mb shared memory) -Crystal SoundFusion (the cheapest I found in the store...)
I used the instructions on this thread, and I noticed no improvement. If someone knows a better config...
Thanks!

"or hes using an original version of tyrian, instead of Tyrian2K" Why would that change anything? im not sure myself, but i know that when i tried to start Tyrian on in Windows ME's DOS 7.0 VM it would throw up that error... yet Tyrian2k would work fine. (still does)

This is strange. Right now I'm in my work's PC, an AMD Sempron 2500+ 1.4GHz, 448 ram, winXP, and it runs perfectly with all sounds, Wild detail, etc, with the default configuration of DosBox... Maybe it's because it's WinXP, not 2k?
