Use of Shipedit and some questions...

Hey guys. I've used shipedit.exe before, and I know for most of the weapons you have to use Tyrian and play the game with those weapons and complete at least one to enable those weapons to work. Okay, that was simple. I got the Laser and the blue laser that I wanted, so that's all whoopie and joyful.

But what I would like is the Nort Ship Z stuff, like the SDF-1 Main Gun, which is literally... the laser with the ability to go through enemies, and it's a special powerup as well.

Another thing I would like it some of the main weaponry from the Nort Ship Z, but I just don't know how the hell to get it. Any help here please?

The thing I want most also is a weapon called Sonic Impulse.

...that's what I did. I played the WHOLE GAME through it just to get it, and it still doesn't show up.

hm... odd. did you do that with the nort ship?

NortshipZ was kinda special last time I checked, so I dunno if it's even possible to get them.

There is a secret mission in episode 4.

You must first kill the core and then kill the boss in the tunnels before the timer runs out.

Then there will be an ice mission which you'll play around on, and at one point there will be ships shooting frost bolts in an upside down V, and a large group of them will appear and the secret level orb will drop down kinda quickly.

On the secret mission has the dual mega laser powerup and the SDF Main Gun powerup as well. The mission will start off as a fast-going mission, with a 50 second timer counting down. Upon reaching the city, the ship slows down and the light V pattern forms, with a powerup that is grey-background and two blue lasers. That's the dual mega laser. After you reach the outskirts of the city through a series of fighting, the lighting will return to normal and your ship goes into mega-speed again, with around 10 seconds left, and there will be the end of map boss. The powerup will drop from him after a second he appears, and you must avoid killing the boss to get it. Once you get it, you can use it to finish him off rather easily.

So the only way I can think of getting it to combine with my custom ships is to either play normal mode and get my custom stuff done before hand and then not alter my ship for the rest of the game, or play with nort ship z and just hit enter twice to get the SDF cannon back with my lasers.
